Yin and Yang `

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is believed that good health is achieved when there is a balance of yin and yang.

Modern Western living can undermine this balance with an overemphasis on yang through a high energy, dynamic, physical on-the-go lifestyle. Time for mental relaxation, gentle exercise and reflection aren't usually prioritised because of time constraints, job demands and personal commitments.

This can lead to health problems many of which we label as stress symptoms i.e. headaches, IBS, insomnia. If imbalances aren't corrected through lifestyle changes, problems can become chronic.

Qigong

Qigong is an ancient Chinese exercise system combining meditation and slow, gentle movements to promote health and relaxation. It has been considered one of the main pillars of Chinese medicine along with acupuncture, herbal treatment, massage and diet.
Over 80 million Chinese practice qigong daily, and in the West its popularity has steadily increased over the last decade.
